STEP has developed a new Programme to bring together skills and expertise from across the STEP partnership, enabling practitioners working for Partner theatre and performing arts companies to come together to share their skills and maximise the sharing of practice across the STEP Partnership.
The Programme will encourage core staff and freelance practitioners from all STEP partner organisations to share practice with one another. In this the pilot year of the Programme, there will be three full-day sessions (one per term) which focus on three important issues in delivery (Inclusion, Youth Leadership and Classroom-based learning) as well as three twilight sharing sessions which will offer short tasters of some practitioners' skills in an open environment which also enables practitioners to network and discuss issues and achievements.
This Programme is a chance for companies and practitioners:
- to find out more about the practice that is being delivered by other companies in the borough and beyond
- to expand and develop their own practice
- to extend their learning and practice in relation to key themes in delivery
The Programme also enables companies to share their in-house training events with other practitioners.
