    Rewrite's annual creative writing competition for young people is now open for entries. The theme this year is A United Kingdom and young people can enter a piece of poetry, prose or playwriting. Winners from each age category will have their work performed in a rehearsed reading by professional actors at an established theatre venue.     Assistant to the Director  Newspaper Boy and Oragami Girl by Michael Foreman @ Theatre Peckham Theatre Peckham has an exciting opportunity for a college graduate to work at one of South East London’s most creative and inspirational theatres supporting our Artistic Director Teresa Early. Christmas 2012 will see the premier of Michael Foreman’s new work Newspaper Boy and Origami Girl with a cast of Theatre Peckham’s young people and Professional Actors.

    Saturday proved to be a great success for STEP, as well as the young people who performed in the Youth Theatre Showcase.  With nearly fifty young people performing, coming from a range of local youth theatres as well as the STEP young compere programme, the evening was a fantastic opportunity for young people to share and critique their own and each others work.
