     STEP is inviting applications for a Conference Director.  Over the past seven years STEP has explored, developed and sustained an innovative programme of drama and theatre education projects with and for young people in Southwark. Its main aim was to achieve a greater synergy and integration between Schools and the STEP Theatre Partners in being alert to and developing drama and theatre projects with young people in and out of school.

    As STEP is facing a year with limited funding, STEP is inviting Partnership to attend a meeting to discuss our future strategy and the role of the STEP Director.  Cheryl Gallacher will be leaving STEP in April and her successor will be appointed in June. The job description will be available at the Partnership meeting, and the Board will invite applications for the post.

    Two fantastic brand new 2013/14 courses for Post 16 at BRIT School! A BTEC Extended Diploma in Interactive Media  This is an innovative course for students who are at home with technology; students will be working as designers and develop design skills in web, print, mobile, video and gaming. It is ‘hands on’ with direct links to industry and digital companies.

    With performances from London Bubble's LB+, Rewrite's React Group, Blue Elephant Young People's Theatre, Salmon Centre Bermondsey, Theatre Peckham's Perform Youth Theatre Group and Peckham Shed!  The event will be hosted by STEP's young comperes from St Michael's Catholic College Bermondsey and Harris Academy Bermondsey who are currently working hard training and rehearsing!     Two years ago Oval House put together a unique site-specific promenade performance. They are doing something similar but bolder in March 2013 and are looking for ACTORS aged 14-18 years old NOW.
