The Albany has been appointed to manage the Culture Space at Southwark Council’s new state-of-the-art library in Canada Water. The Albany, South East London’s leading performing arts venue with a growing reputation for its ground-breaking work, will manage the new studio-style cultural space as part of an innovative partnership with Southwark Council.
The Albany manages the 150-seat Culture Space, presenting a programme of theatre, music, dance, comedy, live literature and community events. The Albany also manages a suite of six high-tech meeting rooms and learning spaces all of which are available for hire. The ‘super library’, incorporating a range of cultural and community facilities, reflects Southwark’s ambition to put libraries at the heart of community life.
